16th/17th Century...with tapering double-edged blade, the projection over each side of the forte chiselled with a symmetrical design of foliage, the guard of larger form, pommel en suite and with a pierced iron mount on both sides chiselled with a trefoil and foliage, button finial, and swelling baluster grip (surface rust and light pitting overall) 89 cm. blade A sword with an almost identical hilt is in the Junagarh Fort, Bikaner, ibid., p. 88, pl. 8.31 Source: www.bonhams.com/auctions/20803/lot/26/
