Editor's Note: Note that this sword, though having a lower and upper guard, has no true pommel nor holes in the lower guard suggesting one was once attached.Central Europe, 7th century. Wide, double-edged blade with a pointed place, partially visible, elaborate damascene structure. Conical Angel, geometric cut cross guard and pommel petite rail. Restored state. Length 88.5 cm.
