First quarter 14th century Culture: German Provenance: the Verucchio Castle Museum Measurements: overall length 130cm The sword features a straight, double-edged blade, with a slight groove for two-thirds of its length. Engraved at the first part with a slightly visible noble shield, the weapon has straight iron quillons of square section, wooden grip scales, disc-shaped iron pommel (type “J” Oakeshott) relieved at the centre.
