Medieval Hand-and-a-Half Sword Second half of the 14th/early 15th century Overall length 96.8cm The sword features a broad double-edged blade cut with a long shallow fuller and formed with an angular tip. The iron hilt comprising a pair of slightly arched tapering quillons is of flattened oval-section and has an oval pommel of near-wheel form. A sword of closely related form was deposited in the Mameluke Arsenal (circa 1401-1408) and is now preserved in the Military Museum of Istanbul, Turkey.
