This well forged and tempered Jian measures just under 73cms long. Out of its scabbard it is a little over 66cms long. The blade length is 51cms long. The hilt is of a classical Jian profile. The grip is Rosewood with four vertical incised flutes to each side. The brass pommel is a domed pommel is of a tapering type and the guard is of a bat silhouette shape. The blade is well forged and tempered. Forging laminations are seen near the edges and it remains in its original polish. To both sides are small brass inlay of the seven star inlay.
