Oakeshott Type XVIIIb Late Medieval / Renaissance Sword

Description: A hand and a half sword

Dating: second quarter of the 16th Century

Provenance: France

Length 125 cm

Straight, double-edged blade ribbed at the centre, a deep flower-shaped mark at the forte; straight quillons of round section ending in the shape of buds; deeply grooved twisted pommel; leather-bound wooden grip.
