Italian Gala Sword of the Mid Nineteenth Century

About 1850. Brass vessel gilded, grip cap with a large lion head pommel, bolted ring. Solid, wide guard, one end with a lion's head, the other with knob upward directed, spherical degree. Centerpiece with Akanthusblattdekor, apron. Dark horn grip with white metal ferrule. Straight-edged blade (width 6 cm), Groot tip. Both sides richer etched decoration, blued, gilded and blank: Trophies and tendrils. Angel with the brand. Steel scabbard, two ring bands. A sword for special occasions or for a bodyguard.
