*Editor's Note: Note how closely this iron sword follows the design principles of the bronze swords from which it so recently descended. The blade with a broad flattened mid-rib, the grip with a tang pierced with two discs separating the three now-missing sections of inlay; with a crescent-shaped pommel. 1st Millennium BC L. 20 in. (51 cm.) Ex UK private collection, acquired in London in 1985. Published: J. Eisenberg, Art of the Ancient World, 2012, no. 244.
