Merovingian / Frankish Sword circa 550 A.D.

In excavated condition, with broad double-edged blade (tip crudely repaired) probably originally with a shallow medial fuller over most of its length on both sides, hilt comprising flat ovoidal cross-guard, flat slightly tapering tang, and mushroom-shaped pommel.
