Central European Viking Sword Oakeshott Type X

9th/10th century. Heavy blade, fullered on both sides with almost illegible remnants of an inscription on one side "GERFRIK"(?). Short quillons, slightly bent towards the blade, the conically flared tang grooved at the base. Two-piece riveted pommel. Cleaned and conserved excavation discovery.
