This sword measures just under 103cms long in the scabbard. Out of the scabbard it is 99cms long with a 79cm long blade.
The hilt shows exceptional woven leather and silver design work with only very minor loss. The pommel is iron. The blade is a sharp, stiff fighting type with a short broad fuller to each side, is of an elliptical cross section and stained throughout.
To one side of the blade, at the point where the hilt joins the blade there is a typical European blade stamp. To the reverse is deep hand chiseled motif in the style of the Passau Running Wolf, likely done by native hands.
The scabbard is decorated leather over fine string designs which encase a timber inner. Of the same design as the hilt, there is woven leather and silver at the throat. To the base is a silver fitting with the suspension being heavy iron fittings and rings. The suspension fittings are expertly decorated with thick silver.
