Sword of the Mainz type that reports on the sleeve of the representations rather unusual. The upper plate shows the Emperor Tiberius (hence the name by which it is commonly known, the finding) that symbolically presents his recent victories Germanic to Augustus, he is naked, and it is sitting in the pose of Jupiter, flanked by Victoria and Mars Ultor (The Avenger), while Tiberius, Augustus dressed in fatigues presents a statuette of Victory. Another interpretation sees in the same Tiberius seated figure, and the figure shows that the victories in German. Another interesting figure is the one represented on the sleeve of legionary eagle with spread wings in the saccello. Found in the Rhine at Mainz (Germany), the specimen is 57.5 cm long and 7 cm wide, and probably belonged to a high-ranking officer.
