A Northern European Viking sword with pattern-welded blade, 9th/10th century Double-edged blade with slightly rounded point, the upper two thirds with flat fullers on both sides. The upper half of the blade made of three strips of twisted Damascus with lateral edges, the lower half of the blade made of homogeneous steel. Short, straight quillons, sturdy, tapered tang.
