LOT 0944 Estimate £3,000 - 4,000 Sold for (Inc. premium): £3,328 MEDIEVAL IRON DISC-POMMEL SWORDCirca 14th century AD. A long sword with hand-forged iron blade, disc pommel of Oakeshott's type H, round-section quillons of type 2; the blade narrow with shallow fuller for most of its length. Iron, 1.4 kg, 111 cm.
