2nd century BC-1st century ADA hand-forged sword of 'carp's tongue' profile with broad, parallel-sided blade and rounded lower end with thick lozenge-section point; the guard elliptical in plan with stepped curve to the centre corresponding to the broad fuller in the blade; the tang rectangular-section and tapering; the pommel a bar with recurved ends, one with an iron ring attached. 274 grams, 56 cm (22").
