A hand-forged parallel-sided blade for a seax with broad tip, tongue-shaped tang with rivet to secure the grip scales; two longitudinal fuller grooves; separate narrow bolster. 387 grams, 50cm (19 1/2"). Fine condition.

From an important London collection; acquired in the 1970s.
