This book should be a slap in the face to people caught up in the lunacy of most martial arts. It is short and sharp, and straight to the point. Many of the principals laid out in this book are applicable to sword fighting if not all of them. Reading this book and familiarising yourself with the contents and practising them will make you better equipped to defend yourself from a knife. I strongly suspect that Don Pentecost is a former soldier as well as having served time in Folsom Prison, so you'd be hard pressed to find a better teacher.
