Editor's Note: Note the early termination of the fuller before the cross guard, a curious feature of some Medieval European swords. Description: Straight blade to two wires with shelling central and lateral grooves thin, straight quillons hilt with an arch and for the protection of the thumb, apple disc. Provenance: Coll. Prof. Julio Arteaga, et al. Carbonell Debali, the Vatican diplomat, who bought the sword in 1920 on the recommendation of the Curator of the Castel Sant'Angelo, Rome. Length 94.5 cm.
