In your final pic, it looks like there is a piece of metal in the upper left part of the guard shimming up the blade: they did the exact same thing with my limited edition Excalibur! Over $1000 dollars for a shimmed up guard? Can't say I'm impressed. At first I was stunned at how beautiful my Excalibur blade was upon initial unboxing, now, with time, and more research under my belt, I will not buy from DSA again. I will not use this costly sword for anything more than hanging on the wall and visual in a lesson learned. Ordered sharp, arrived dull, so dull that I could draw it across my hand quite safely. Any sharpening voids the warranty. The interlaced scabbard that comes with this limited edition, work-of-love collector's piece shows up with many other of their blades, with a vivid "made in India" sticker on it. And we are to believe that the blade is forged in Canada?? YouTube reviews where their Viking sword broke at the hilt with one swing at a water bottle? Pics of rat tail tangs? Horror stories of poor customer service, smoke-and-mirrors YT videos of their "forge"? And this blade was at the half way point to the magnificent Al8ion Discerner (their version of Excalibur)! Deepeeka quality at near Al8ion prices. No thanks.
