Hello all! I am an amateur blacksmith. I started with working with irons and different scrap steels to make tongs and hammers. The reason I started blacksmithing was so that I could one day make a suite of armor and swords/ axes. In my attempts to make swords I spend way to much time forging and then cleaning up a blade and I know I am using the wrong type of steel. So my time on Sword site will be to learn as much as possible while hoping to share the pieces I am able to make. I am from Michigan and have yet to find any swords smiths around my area so I think the market is pretty open to me! Hope to be speaking with you all soon.
Hi, I'm from Maryland. A friend stumbled onto a sword 50 years ago in the woods and held onto it since. Found out recently that it is a Saxon Janissary Corps Sword from around 1729. I'm not sure if it is a copy or not, but it influenced me to do some research on it.

Hey fellow sword enthusiests, I'm Patrick. I'm a novice knife maker and trying to work up the motivation to build my first sword. I like swords for their aesthetic appeal, their utterly devastating affect when in the hands of a skilled user and I like all the history behind them.
