Late 13th/Early 14th Century.In excavated condition, with broad tapering blade with rounded point and shallow central fuller almost to the point on each side, one side inlaid with a latten cross towards the forte, hilt comprising quillons of square section widening towards the tips, flat tapering tang, and slightly compressed chamfered wheel pommel with ovoidal button finial. 96.7 cm. blade The pommel conforms to Oakeshott's Type K with quillons of Style 2.
